Two Month Old Violet

Violet is two months old.  She is still a tiny little babe, and is having a hard time gaining weight.  She is horrible at taking the bottle, so we do the best we can getting her to nurse as much as possible.  She is much more content this past month.  She is smiling at us often. She is sleeping better through the day, and being happy more often during her awake time.

She had her first ear infection, and was very good at letting me know something was not right, a.k.a. she screamed all night and all day.

I started working at the daycare again.  She hates it!  I only work once a week right now and have plans to do twice a week next month.  I hope she acclimates to the environment soon.  She was a mess after our first shift there, wouldn't eat or sleep and just cried the rest of the evening.  She is such a sensitive baby.  She gets overstimulated very easily.  She is happiest in her mom or dad's arms, in quiet room, just chilling.

Her stats: 9 pounds 8 ounces, 24 inches long

She has learned: to smile, to hold her head up

She likes: nursing, being held, Mom and Dad, quiet, being home, baths, being swaddled

She dislikes: the bottle, going out, being around a lot of people or a lot of noise, her car seat, strangers

Things she does/about her that makes us laugh: big smiles, her lower lip that juts out just before crying, and how she wiggles her hands and arms out of her swaddled blankets
