Forth of July

We had a pretty laid back holiday.  The evening before we went the view The Wall That Heals, a replica of the Vietnam War Wall.  It was a very neat and humbling experience.  I am so grateful for those who have fought and do fight for the freedom that we enjoy in this country!

On the actual Forth of July we spent a good part of the day furniture shopping for the soon to be finished rooms in our basement.  That evening we grilled hot dogs and cheeseburgers and ate corn on the cob and watermelon.  We had Family Home Evening (Father's Interviews. which we do the first Monday of every month) and played Patriotic Bingo.  We topped off the day by watching fireworks at Magna Copper Park.  The fireworks were really great this year!

So no big plans with extended family and friends, but we still had a great holiday just hanging out together as a family.
