Bear Lake Trip

Greg's mom, Nancy, is getting married and we are thrilled for her!  She is engaged to a great guy named Randall who lives in Garden City.  Lucky us, we will now have an excuse to make many trips to the beautiful Bear Lake.  Last weekend was our first family gathering at Randall's home.  We arrived Friday night just in time to get settled in.  Saturday we spent the day at the lake.  Grandma Nancy kindly rented a couple of jet skis.  It was the first time I, and the boys had been on a jet ski.  And we all loved it!  I could have ridden all day; and from the boys' reactions they would have joined me.  We also had a great time picnicking, swimming and playing in the sand.

That evening we threw a surprise birthday for Grandma Nancy who is turning 60.  The Robinsons and Clarks joined us for the celebration.  Us kids all pitched in to buy Nancy a bike.  We barbecued, had cake and ice cream and played a bunch of Minute to Win It games.  A few favorites of the games include: Face the Cookie (sliding a cookie from your forehead to your mouth without using your hands), Junk in the Trunk (shaking eight ping pong balls out of a tissue box strapped to the bottom of your back), Penny Hose (retrieving two pennies out of the bottom of a pair of panty hose using only one hand for each leg) and Stack 'Em Up (staking six dice on top of each other over a popsicle stick held only by your mouth).

It was such a fabulously fun trip!  We are looking forward to many more.
