Where All Our Money is Going

Car mechanics, that is where all of our money is going. The past few months we have been bombarded with automotive trouble. Perhaps this is because both of our cars are from the mid-nineties and should probably be replaced, or maybe it's just been some bad luck. But we are paying out big bucks to keep our cars running.

In December we spent $200 on my car for new front tires because we got a flat, while just two months earlier we had replaced the rear tires. Last month we spent $700 to fix a coolant leak in my car. And last night Greg accidentally ran over a median and cracked his car's radiator; we found out this afternoon that it's going to cost us another $400.

Oh man, we want to get out of debt, but we are barely making it as it is. It really would be nice if our cars would decide to be a little more considerate of our financial situation!

I'm so sorry!! That bites a major big one. Cars are so expensive. Sometimes I wish I bought a junker to keep the monthly payments down...but then I'd have to fix it up...

I feel your pain, both of our cars have been costing us a lot of hard earned dough and our van isn't even that old. It is awful to see your money go to something that doesn't even improve your situation--just gets you back to where you already were. Hopefully your bad luck is over with this last incident.

If it's not one thing, then it's another. I hear ya when it comes to more and more and MORE expenses. It's like you can never get on top of the bills. Hopefully your cars will decide to cooperate for a while now.
